Russian Commercial Passenger Aviation Up 10.6% In 2019
Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency has said that the total number of passengers carried by the various Russian airlines increased 10.6% Year on Year to it 119.2 million passengers. Passenger turnover rose to 300 billion passenger kilometers.
Russia’s aviation passenger volume is roughly equivalent to that of Brazil, Germany and Japan. China carries about 600 million passengers per annum and the United States about 890 million. In overall terms Russia’s total passenger volume ranks 5th globally.
