Chris is the Founding Partner of Dezan Shira & Associates and an elected member of the Business Advisory Council of the Greater Tumen Initiative, a United Nations Development Programme entity that covers Russia, China, Mongolia and North & South Korea.  Dezan Shira & Associates provide business advisory, legal, establishment, tax and accounting services and maintain seventeen offices throughout Asia, including China, India and Vietnam. The firm are members of the Leading Edge Alliance a global alliance of international accountants and auditors with a combined turnover of USD2.6 billion (2009).

Russia Briefing was launched by Chris in Spring 2010, and provides a daily business news commentary in addition to a regular magazine devoted to matters of foreign direct investment in Russia. Asia Briefing also provides titles for China; India; Vietnam and Emerging Asia.
