About Russia Briefing

Russia Briefing is part of the stable of titles produced by Asia Briefing Ltd , established by Chris Devonshire-Ellis in 1999. Chris is the Founding Partner of Dezan Shira & Associates and an elected member of the Business Advisory Council of the Greater Tumen Initiative, a United Nations Development Programme entity that covers Russia, China, Mongolia and North & South Korea.  Dezan Shira & Associates provide business advisory, legal, establishment, tax and accounting services and maintain seventeen offices throughout Asia, including China, India and Vietnam. The firm are members of the Leading Edge Alliance a global alliance of international accountants and auditors with a combined turnover of USD2.6 billion (2009).

Russia Briefing was launched by Chris in Spring 2010, and provides a daily business news commentary in addition to a regular magazine devoted to matters of foreign direct investment in Russia. Asia Briefing also provides titles for China; India; Vietnam and Emerging Asia.

The Russia Briefing daily news is contributed by Marina Romanova of Dezan Shira & Associates. Marina is a graduate of linguistics from Buryat University, Russia, and also holds a PhD from the Russian Academy of State Service, Moscow, in Political Science. She previously worked as a journalist for TASS, and is also a lecturer at the School of International Studies at the National University of Mongolia. She speaks Russian, Mongolian and English.
